Unable to get Horizontal menu using JV Melody III

Hi,

I installed the JV Framework 3.4.6 compoent on Joomla 3.6. I made JV Melody as my default template. I had used its older version 1.6.9 on a website a few years back. I am unable to get a horizontal menu working. It was working fine with earlier 1.6.9 version. I created a small top menu with just two entries but it shows up as a vertical menu. The module position is "menu". I don't want a mega menu as given in documentation but a simple horizontal menu with submenu's showing up on hovering. Image attached to show how the menu currently shows up.

I found the solution - I should choose the Menu System as Flex (Default Effect) in the Module->Menu Option (JV Framework) as answered in this post.
